I think that working with the Ness brothers will be great for him.

"I literally have dreams of coming back to Carver-Hawkeye Arena in a maroon and gold singlet," said Stroker.

And the Iowa board has went from "he has academic issues"  to "we didn't want him anyway".  You just can't make this stuff up.

More to come....

Ya Iowa response has been interesting. I don't recall the Minnesota fan base being rude towards Stoll or Gross. Sure we were disappointed, but still wished them well. Didn't question their academics or integrity or parent's integrity. All that negative attention does is reassure the recruit that they made the right decision.

also want to clarify it has not been all on Iowa's message board, but a noticable amount.

We don't need him. Iowa has never had problems at 149....   ???

Well, according to Stroker, the coaching staff at Iowa didn't even contact him after July 1st so I think it is safe to say that the people that matter didn't want him. Now the rationalization and justification by some of the idiots over there is a completely different story.

But hey, can't rip on that board too much. Every forum has its idiots (some even share). But the Iowa board is one of the most trafficked wretsling forums on the web so it would make sense to have more idiots than the rest.

Is Iowa getting stale for the kids?  With Arizona on board now, and some other good coaching changes happening ..... Maybe the Iowa allure is fading?  Damn !!! UW is a great campus, and as of lately Seattle is the 2nd fastest growing city in the USA. We really, really, really need to get a team back on the mats up here!!

Wire, based on an entire 30 minutes of online research and the profiles of schools that have added wrestling in the past 2-3 years, how crazy would it be to have the entire Cascade Conference add both men's and women's wrestling?

One person I read stated that WA is the most liberal state in the US, thus the reason why they will never add wrestling at the college level(D1). The more I think about it, the more I agree.

I honestly don't know how anyone could say being a politically liberal or conservative state has any impact whatsoever on adding wrestling programs.  Make no sense at all to make such a statement with no facts to back it up. ???

By that logic I will assume it's only a matter of time before Mississippi starts churning out college wrestling programs.

Likewise Texas.

I don't disagree with that assessment, but WA is pretty liberal about most everything. It wouldn't surprise me if college AD's used that as an excuse.

As far as Miss. goes, poorest state in the Union. They are lucky they have anything in that state.

Like I said liberal or conservative makes zero difference in supporting the starting of a wrestling program.  Absolutely zero difference.

Since you're on ignore, I can only assume you're typing something that I don't want to read. So move on.

Since I am typing reasoned comments to nonsensical statement attributing strange motivations of people based on political leaning, I would assume that you are right, you do not want to read it.
