Well, I'd rather have the Seahawks in there.  But it has been never for the Panthers and a long while for the Broncos.  Good for all of them.

2nd one for Carolina.  Lost to the Pats in Superbowl 38.  Broncos were just there 2 years ago when Seattle crushed them.

Buck, have you seen his stats recently.  He is obviously not taking performance enhancing drugs.  Either that or he needs to get a refund.

Was that the Broncos?  I guess I didn't remember that one.  I was not on board the NFL train because I really dislike Pete Carol for what he did to USC and got away without a scratch.  Not a standup guy in my opinion.  Good coach, not necessarily a good person.

I stand corrected on both counts.

It could very well be a blowout.  Maybe Carolina will come into town grossly overconfident.

Still waiting for Manning's lawsuit!   If he does bring suit he would become subject to pretrial discovery, which would involve sharing evidence and giving sworn testimony that would risk perjury charges. Would Manning be willing to deny the HGH allegations while under oath?  We all know he won't sue because of this and of course the media is afraid to pursue anything of this nature with Peyton because he's such a nice guy.

No problem in hounding Barry Bonds because Barry was a horse's ass.

- Right.  After a thorough review by our independent team of investigators we have determined there is no credible evidence that Peyton Manning took HGH or any other performance enhancing drug.

I dislike hypocrites and liers.  He willingly threw his wife under the bus much like Roger Clemens did with his wife.  The sports world is full of them.

Manning hardly has the physique of someone taking PEDs.  I suppose it is possible but until some other line of evidence appears to implicate him, I am going with the stance that the AL-J story is full of crap.

No one to sue now. Al J USA went belly up because they were a crap news source

They were an excellent news source here.  It was a young channel, staffed by many idealistic types who had been educated in the West.

But the station came to be demonized in the West in general and in the United States in particular. It would not toe the neo-con party line in the early 2000s during the Iraq invasion, and threatened to report a side of the war that threatened Washington’s policies in the region. Some American leaders used it to deflect attention from their warmongering policies, and predictably, public opinion in the United States came to see it as some sort of radicalist mouthpiece. It was absurd, but such is the influence of ignorance and fear-mongering.

Major cable distributors like Comcast and DirectTV declined to carry the channel.  Hindsight is 20/20 but they should of done something to rebrand themselves because they were never going to get a fair shake in the U.S.

Manning hardly has the physique of someone taking PEDs.

Neither did Armstrong or Josh Barnet or Tim Montgomery or etc.

There are more accurate tests than what physique someone has.

If it doesn't matter and not banned, why not just state "Yes. I needed HGH to help my neck heal after multiple surgeries. The HGH I used was prescribed by my doctor while I was under his care."?

Can't they sue the parent company?

Not likely under corporate and international law.  Event occurred in the US.  Jurisdiction is in the US.  Ha can still sue, and if the bought media liability insurance, there would be defense and indemnity coverage from the insurer, if the limits have not been exhausted from other litigation.

it would be near impossible to pierce the corporate veil under US law and its why businesses create subsidiary corporations-> insulate the parent from the errors and omissions of the subsidiary.  It's possible of he can link involvement of the parent, but then suit would have to brought in that home country of the parent and it would subject to those local laws and limits on liability.  Not every country offers the deep pocket and wacko awards that we see here in the US.  The cost would be exorbitant to make the link and would only keep the issue in the news.

Thanks for letting me know what theonion says.  I'm sure that knowledge might be useful for something.  I simply don't know and see it as a waste of time seems how HGH wasn't illegal anyway.  Carry on.

Great defensive game by Denver Broncos, Cam Newton was pressured the entire game.

I can't get over how freaking huge Cam Newton is.  he is a freak.

essentially you have a TE with RB speed and WR moves playing QB with a Cannon for an arm.

Newton got rattled early and often.  He looked tired and dejected by mid 3rd quarter.

I didn't have a real rooting interest for this game, but started off leaning slightly toward the Panthers.  Then Newton started running his mouth in the press, so I wanted to see him shut up.  Then Aquib Talib started playing like he did for the Bucs, running his mouth and making stupid penalties.  The defenses were impressive, but the offenses also played lousy. The net result was a dull, boring game.

I guess I'm getting old, but I miss the days when professional ball players were expected to act professionally.  For example, the Bucs had Lee Roy Selmon, Derrick Brooks and Warrick Dunn, who were all classy guys and a credit to the community (even if Brooks and Dunn did go to FSU  :)).

I am a die hard Bronco fan so I am happy with the end result.  The Bronco offense was lousy with red zone offense and no third down conversions.  I am fine with a little celebrating after big plays but people like Talib need to stfu.  The late hits need to go as well.  I hope Manning retires and becomes an afterthought.

The idea that Manning would ever become an "afterthought" is ridiculous. Despite this season, he is one of if not the greatest regular season quarterback of all time. Just look at the stats

Let's just say Joe was ...discreet....except for his moment of weakness with Suzy Kolber.  Let's just say with age, his ability to hold his own was diminished.  I think everyone gave him a gave him a pass on that one.  After all, it was Suzy Kolber.
