Will we see his bellator debut after the Olympics this fall?

he is explosive and exciting.  his wrestling at the trials was by far (among the men) the most interesting and watchable.

For all his talent, I hope he sticks to wrestling for at least one full cycle.

For all the hype, his mma career could easily be short lived as well.

Pico is calling out a 5-0 prospect.

The other wrestlers-turned-bellator MMAers (Ruth and Fortune) had their pro debuts against fellow debuters.

Pretty psyched if they let Pico swim in relative deeps waters early.

Pico wants to give that guy a "red white and blue ass kicking".  I say let the kid dive in and see what happens

Pico raised by a pack of wolves has received the worst advice in the history of advice.  Now what?  Stocking shelves at the Dollar Store?

Great article about Freeman from before the pico fight

Cliffs:

$10,000 purse. No hotel or travel covered. Trained with Woodley. Very honest assessment of what he was prepared for.

Even Freeman wondered why pico was fighting at 155. States pico should be 145. Freeman looked a weight class bigger

I believe I rubbed people the wrong way some years ago when I said wrestlers/wrestling would fade as the jab improved. I was of course correct: however, I have noticed a resurgence of wrestling, no one, and I mean, no one, seems to fear the guard anymore. Conor has gone to the ground with some top BJJ guys and seems none the worse for wear. Often, the top man doesn't even bother to pass, he just stays in guard pounds away. What the heck is going on?

If you're in the wrong weight class, and many wrestlers are because of all the muscle they carry, you'll be more likely to lose, be it decision or, KO. Fight in the right weight class.
