UWW statement leaves the door open for another option, which I assume would mean moving the World Cup.  I can't imagine they do it two weeks out, but you never know I guess.

I'll bet our local HS could do it here in two weeks.  That would be awesome!!  But this whole thing is really terrible.

Trump was a state champ, a HUGE talent in high school so he knows wrestling.

We're hosting a tournament this weekend and we are directly across the Persian Gulf from Iran.   All flights from the world's major cities fly either into Abu Dhabi or Dubai directly.

Plenty of hotels, decent hospitals if someone gets injured, and the weather has been pleasant this week.

this is neither the first nor the last time politics will affect international sports.

There have been willful boycotts of countries - 1980 and 1984 Olympics; but, I don't recall a team being denied over politics.

You read it wrong.  It was over politics.  The point in now the US is being denied.  Russia was not denied from competing in the 84 Olympics, they boycotted.

Hope the team has been staying close to their competition weights during all of this drama.

There's a second Justice Department appeal to reverse the stay coming up today in San Francisco.   Keep the eyes and ears open.

Looks like a rewrite to the ban.  Still at risk if published before the tournament date.  Will Iran give them the boot if already in Iran and it gets published?

Pres Trump better wait until the World Cup is complete.   Then put out new directions.  Everyone here agrees I'm sure, nothing is more important with regard to timing of a new directive as seeing the World Cup completed.  I'm not trying to be facetious.

The us wrestling team certainly has gotten a lot of attention in the past couple of weeks due to this see-saw.

Boy Taylor III has opened it up and is just constantly on the attack.  He wore the Russian out in the first period.  The guy was gassing horribly.
