Title: Virtual NCAAs and Quaint D1 NCAA Simulation
Post by: dutch134 on March 24, 2020, 02:24:25 PM
Well, I think I can speak for all of us that we were disappointed that there was no NCAA tournament this year.  I can also say that as an educator that has had their entire school year cancelled, while I am still working "virtually" I have a little time on my hands.  I know there was a virtual NCAA tourney on Twitter and Track also did a NCAA simulation.  If anyone is interested, I would be willing to do the scoring for each of the simulations.  I know it won't be the same as the real thing but may be fun to see what people predicted.  Just put a line-up on this thread and I will reply with the scores.  Hope everyone is doing well!!!

Jim

where are you guys finding these predictions?

Somebody made a twitter account called Virtual NCAAs and did round by round predictions/"results" for every round.  Then trackwrestling also did a mock ncaa tournament.  It's kinda interesting seeing where they agree and where they are way different.  Working on one of them and one prediction has two guys finishing 3rd and 4th and the other has them both DNP.  Kinda cool and giving me something to do when I'm not running a school from my house.  Hahaha

I always like seeing how there are some vast differences between the two simulations.  I believe there was one guy that was 1-2 in one simulation and 3rd in the other.  Still depressed that we will never know and the news about ODU is like a gut punch.  I'm afraid the are just the start.  Especially if college football is impacted.
