New concrete is a piece of cake compared to 40 year old that was never sealed.  Just wait for the concrete to set, 60-90 days....and don't spill oil or antifreeze on it.  Figure a week from start to parking it.
1. degrease & etch
2. let dry out, may need 2 days, longer the better
3. coat
4. seal
5. days 5-6-7 to harden up
Park

I used a water based epoxy to avoid solvent odors around the grand kids.  He coated last fall and didn't use the grit as suggested.  It was an ice rink when damp. It was supposed to cure in 12 hours.  Weather guys didn't predict no wind, 95-99% humidity and it hasn't even rained.  Its still damp after 36 hours.  Sonny boy has a birthday party planned for Saturday, garage is the rain cover ....his wife is getting antsy.  Just need the sun and 75F they predicted for today and we'll be good to go.  I may go over and set up a heater and fan just to appease her.

Knees, wrists and shoulders are numb from prepping the floor.  I'm 4 Advils and a half tube of Icy Hot into the night.  Tomorrow I get to roll out the bottom coat and sonny boy now wants to add a clear coat, which means more rolling on Friday.

If we had 5" I'd be without power.  Most leaves have not dropped accumulating the snow.  Branches would be dropping all over taking out power lines.

No.  Gymnastics will get allocated seats which will make it that much harder to get a ticket

In eastern PA Bloomsburg, Lock Haven, and Mansfield merge. Probably means the loss of a D1 wrestling program.

In western PA California,Edinboro, and Clarion merge. Probably means loss of another D1 program.

Individual sports may not be affected

"Under the plan, the three schools would operate as a single university for management and workers but keep their individual names."

By limiting the merger to management and the employees, it clearly viewed as a top end cost cutting move. Academic programs will proceed though one school may be steered to focus at a group of majors while others focus on different majors.  By retaining the campus and brand of each school, it will be difficult for students of one school to wrestle geographically and under the title of a different school

On the other hand, the can easily use this as a reason for cutting sports programs.  To the benefit of wrestling Clarion and Edinboro have national reputations that their other sports have not achieved.....but that hasn't held other schools back now has it.

Grand daughters school has been back inside for 4 weeks, no problems so far.  Middle announced a case yesterday.  Kid  and a parent tested pos over the weekend.  Middle school will go online for the week, all others remain open since there were no sibs in other schools, no close contacts.

The case was traced to a cousin birthday backyard gathering the prior weekend, an asymptomatic parent.  The kid was in the classroom on Wednesday and Friday. The school arranged drive thru  testing for all classmates, teachers, parents and sibs for tomorrow. If all prove neg, they can go back into the classroom next Monday.  Fortunately there were no school related contacts over the weekend otherwise it would have been out for the full 2 weeks.

No one else tested pos.  The local Health dept okayed a return to class on Monday.  They could have quarantined the entire class for 2 weeks, the entire school in worst case, but they didn't.  Not a single parent is complaining.  By the way, the BoE gave parents the option to have their kid attend 100% online from the start.  Not a single family opted to do so.  The town has 22000 residents.  I thought that was amazing, no one has opted out.

The big news, the Gov okayed high risk winter sports to start practice Nov 15.  Instead of a max of 25 duals, they are limited to 15. No tournaments except for the state team and individual tournaments.  No fans at duals for now, but 2 parents/guardians at the tournaments for now.  Parents are pushing for the same cap at dual meets. If anyone tests pos, the school will be shut down to online learning for 14 days.  There will be lotsa of pressure on the kids to keep clean, especially heading into the tournament since a single pos could knock a former champ out of the tournament. I was chatting with a parent that has a kid in one of top tier prep school programs.  The alumni have offered to rent a space off school property to house practices for 6 six weeks if the kids opt into 100% online learning segregating them from the rest of the school and the risk of getting quarantined if a non wrestler tests pos.
