Very cool, Ersland is getting his ducks in a row at Purdue. For a no name program he has taken the Boilers up a couple of notches ..And I think the success will follow. Very good head coach.

Escobedo replaces Simmons, will there be any more changes?
Is this really a change? Mike Mena, Joe D., Simmons, the list goes on with no team improvement, year after year. BIG basement dwellers. No good established assistant coach would even give Indiana a sniff. Indiana just gets pushed lower and lower on the NCAA wrestling pecking order. Good luck Escobedo. Sorry you didn't get a real program to coach .Something will open up for you.

Fred you almost lost your job this year, over  the basketball program. The alums said , somebodys going, Tom Crean or you. Fred, This job is over your head. Its to bad the  alumni for wrestling is so weak at Indiana. But come on, what a joke. Only attraction, that this job posting will get, will be from desperate men looking to break into coaching. DEAD end job! don't do it!

Ask Goldman if he's planning to retire any time soon. Follow up with "don't you think you've stolen enough by now?"

Dont go there BREW! I, and many other Hoosier faithfuls, do Not want to Indiana being accused of screwing up the BIG pecking order. If we finish as high as 12 or so I its ok with Big boys of the league, but get a new coach and finish HIGHER? Thats just plain asking for it. Can you imagine the rath from Brands, Ryan or Cale? Let alone from Davis and the rest of the hierarchy! They usually throw us a bone or two each dual now, by throwing in a back-up or two. But, change coaches? Try and improve? I just dont want to" risk it." As Indiana University athletics director stated.

As a Hoosier fan this year, when Iowa cam to Bloomington, It was exciting that after the 165lb. Match, Every body except Iowas last 3 wrestlers and the coaches, that Iowa brought, was out in the bus. Thus now giving us the crowd numbers advantage!

As a Hoosier fan it's always exciting to win 1 or 2 matches, not only in a BIG dual, in any dual.

As a Hoosier fan its exciting, when one of the wrestlers, used as a wrestling dummy for 3 years, publicly declares he is going to stop listening to our coaches. And his last senior, reverts back to what his dad and high school coaches taught him. And ends up under the lights in St. Louis.

As a Hoosier fan the seasons is exciting, when the coaches get the wrestlers certified, let alone at the right  weight at the beginning of a season.

As a Hoosier fan, its always exciting when there is an outside  chance 1 of the guys might make it to the NCAA podium.  As a Hoosier fan, its always exciting when Iowa, Wisconsin, Ohio St., Penn St., and the rest of the really good teams in the conference come to Bloomington every other year.
