Other than the Alabama dominance, the SEC is weird this year.  Case in point:

Auburn beats Arkansas 56-3.
Arkansas beats Florida 31-10.
Florida beats Georgia 24-10.

So Auburn ought to kill Georgia, right?
Wrong.
Georgia 13, Auburn 7, and Alabama wins the SEC East.

Maybe Florida does have a prayer against LSU next Saturday (but I wouldn't bet on it).

I saw on traackwrestling that Dennis got teched 11-0, but can't seem to get NBC's streaming to work.  I click on Mat B and it opens another tab showing the same page I was on.

Any hints on how to watch the wrestling?

To quote Comic Book Guy, "Worst opening ceremonies ever!" (or at least this century).

The Tampa Tribune ran a couple of articles the other day about "local heroes" - famous folks who gave their time and money to charity.  The first article is about former Florida Gator Thad Bullard, aka WWE rassler Titus O'Neil, who helps the homeless and gives Christmas presents to poor kids.

The next one is about Jon Gruden and his work with Moffitt Cancer Center.

Any other good stories for the holidays?

Now we need to see if this is just the long-expected correction or the start of something really bad.

Good thing I planned to work 4 - 5 more years before retiring.

TAMPA — Frustrated with his employer in the United Arab Emirates, Ryan Pate, a civilian helicopter mechanic from Belleair Bluffs, criticized the company and made a rash, derogatory comment toward Arabs on Facebook while back home in January.

Last month, when he returned to the UAE to work out his employment issues, Pate received a call from the Abu Dhabi police directing him to come in.

“I didn’t know why and they wouldn’t tell me,” said Pate, 30, a 2005 graduate of Largo High School.

After arriving at the police station, Pate said he was accused of violating an Emerati cybercrimes law for slandering his employer, which brought the charges against him. Pate said he was arrested and taken to jail. Now free on bail, he is scheduled to stand trial March 17 and could face up to five years in prison and a $50,000 fine.
