College / I Want My Money!

Won't hurt to look into a little more "pocket change,"  being I played football in college.  The arfticle says that this does apply to former rasslers too.

Glad to see my mind's still sharp.

Note to the mods:  This may be deemed a political topic, so do as you see fit with it.  I personally think that it's more of an "educational" and comedic topic, and why I posted it.

Somehow I'm sure I'll create a controversy with this, with multiple pages of me having to defend myself, but I'll take my chances.

I thought that this was a cool story.;_ylt=A0LEVzpUJ4VTnzIArhNXNyoA;_ylu=X3oDMTB0NmFzY2dtBHNlYwNzYwRjb2xvA2JmMQR2dGlkA1ZJUDI4M18x

Off-Topic / There May Be Nothing Better After Mowing The Lawn
« on: May 20, 2014, 09:36:32 PM »
Being a beer snob, I couldn't help but start a thread about this great beer from the Quad cities.  If you hate mowing the lawn, love a refeshing wheat ale, and especially love the bite and flavor of jalapenos, I have your baby.  I just pity you folks who can't buy it in your area.

Awesome to have a couple of these after such duties!

...who don't have me on ignore.  This will bring Nicklaus' 280 yard drives into perspective.

College / J.B. Announcing?

Even though I'm there, as always, front and center, is that J.B. on the main mic?

On tv now.  UNI through thick and thin, right?

College / "Let's Grow The Sport"
« on: January 23, 2014, 03:32:11 PM »
I would have posted this "over there," as people would likely reply to it and have more interest in it, but, due to their goofy pixel limits, it simply won't work.  So...

...I've already addressed how UNI literally cannot "grow the sport" anymore, due to the fact that the decision has been made that they are going to stay in the West Gym, come hell or high water, so we are only limited to 2,200 people to be able to watch the sport.  Hence, the sport will "stagnate," until some down years return.

With that said, it's interesting to note that we talk of the "crisis" that we are in to grow the sport more and that we have a "dying sport," but that's a tough sell when you contrast these two pictures.  The old one is the 1950 NCAA's in the West Gym (note the vacant seats), and the other is every dual at UNI this year, which is a sold out crowd of 2,200 (this specific dual is with Wisconsin).

I know I won't get a reply here, but I'm utterly baffled.
