Kyler Murray, who signed a $5 million deal with the Oakland A's who made him their first round draft pic. He is also the presumed starting QB for the Sooner this year. Which means he will be the highest paid quarterback in college football since Cam Newton.

For me.. its the OSU line up. There are huge questions at 125/133/141 and at 165/174/184. Does Fix go at 125 or 133? If he goes at 125 then Pic has to go up. Does that mean that Brock goes to 141 (Wrestlestats has him pinned in at 149 but where they get THAT I dont know). If Fix goes to 133 does Brock go up? My guess is that Brock does go up to 141 and pic goes to 125 and Fix goes to 133. But Id rather see Fix at 125 personally.

Then, where do JoJo Smith, Chandler Rogers go? Smith is probably too large for 157 but can he beat Rogers? Can the loser of that match beat Jacobe Smith at 174? Potentially we could see JoJo moving from 157 to 184. But I doubt it. My guess is Smith goes at 165, Rogers bumps up to 174 and Smith bumps to 184.

College / Will NCAA adopt new football redshirt rule for wrestling?

Division I football players are now allowed to play in up to four games in a season while keeping a redshirt and not losing a year of eligibility. The NCAA previously considered a redshirt burned if a player took the field for a single play of live action in any game.

I dont think the NCAA will allow this for wrestling as they already competition for redshirts as unattached in tournaments. But who knows?

Do you think it would be good or bad for college wrestling?

In match 2 Gilman gets td, Fix scrambles and turns Gilman and gains control. Gets only 2 points. Why not 2 for exposure and 1 for reverse?

Wrestlingref - Officiating / Cox vs Azerbaijan
« on: April 09, 2018, 06:06:36 PM »
I thought the pushout Cox got should have been scored as a  4 or at least 2.

The action initiated in bounds.. he had both legs wrapped as i recall and it sure looked to me like he had an exposure on the way down as well.

How long will ISU give Dresser? He has a very good staff and he's recruiting well and as long as he shows improvement next year and more the year after that he's safe.

Roselli is another story however. In TWO years his teams have scored 10.5 points and have 0 All Americans. Recruiting is less than adequate  with only 1 top 10 kid. The staff has only 1 one time National Champion. Looking at next year's team, there's only one or two kids with more than a snow ball's chance at AA. And really with the exception of 1 or 2 others the rest of the roster is D-II talent or lower.  Its time to pull the plug
