Stress can also be a factor.

A former coworker of mine was on a high profile team assigned to revamp the entire scheduling, estimating and materials programs.  His ideas were ignored by the rest of the team and he got steamrollered.  Any time he raised an objection or suggested an alternative, he was told, "Our hands are tied.  We can't do it.".

Late Friday a little over a year ago, he hanged himself in the executive conference room.  His hands were tied together.

Obviously, in his mind, he was sending a message.  Management hushed everything up and swept it under the rug.  They ended up spending about $500 million on a new system that, at this point, doesn't work near as well as the old system.  Message ignored.

There is NOTHING at the company worth killing yourself over.  In his case, he had been to counselling, but (obviously) still had unresolved issues.

Thanks for the breakdown.

I thought the NCWA was larger than that (unless I am mixing them up with someone else).  Several schools in Florida have (had?) teams under their banner, with UCF having the best program.  I know a lot of folks were comparing them to intramural teams, which rankled the team members, since they are much better organized than that.

It would have been nice if they had broken it down by division.  My gut feel is that D1 is shrinking, while the others are growing.

Here's a review from someone who seems to have enjoyed the movie.  No spoilers.

Who ya got LeBron James or Nick Saban ?

I'm behind LeBron in any battle.

It depends.  Is it in basketball or a battle of wits?

The finals was one of the best I've seen.  There was some great wrestling prowess on display there.  It really was fun to watch.

I agree with the announcers who attributed some of that to the new "danger rule".  I think it put a severe crimp in the folks who used funk for defense only - dive between the legs, grab an ankle and hold on until a stalemate is called.

Coon did not take my advice.  He made zero offensive moves.  ZERO.   You don't win matches against Snyder like that.

I don't know.  I thought he made one offensive move and was countered for a takedown.  He may have had a better chance of winning if he wrestled like a high school heavyweight and did absolutely nothing and tried to win on accumulated riding time in OT.  I have no idea if Snyder can ride if he has to.  He normally just cuts his opponent and works for the TD.

That looks like a lot of work to get those results, but you appear to have missed Penn State.

My current plan is to retire in two years, so I should have plenty of time to watch the summer games and complain about the NBC family of networks' coverage.  Since those games will be in Tokyo, the time difference will be a factor in the coverage.

And still ratings are down.  I think they did too much of that foo foo and people expect it and won't watch.

That was true for me.  They botched too many Olympics over the decades for me to think they wouldn't also do it this time.  I gave up on them and only watched the games if there wasn't anything else of interest on the tube at the time.
