Seems to me, NBC is carrying the speed sports and NBC Sports Channel is covering the dancing events.

And the women are PISSED about it.  They want to see their "pretty sports".

Back in the day when ABC had The Wide World of Sports, they also did a pretty good job of broadcasting the Olympics (although part of it may have been that we weren't as picky at the time).  They generally showed the competition, with an occasional spotlight (like a short spot about Dan Gable).  NBC is so committed to bringing in female viewers that they have so many touchy feely spots and gabfests that they are driving away the sports fans and even women like my wife, who want to watch the "pretty sports".

I haven't watched much of the Olympics so far.  NBC's coverage has been awful for so many Games that I've just lost interest.  It's sad, but it is now something I will watch if there isn't anything else interesting on the tube.  I saw a few minutes of the opening ceremony, but the announcers had me gagging in short order.

Yesterday was also a bad day for Gronkowski.  He got home and found out he had been burglarized.

If you're going to wish for a big check, why not Mega Millions or Power Ball?

With the exception of Angelo, every match went the way BC needed. Was a thing of beauty. I have waited almost 2 decades for this day, when an NJSIAA would be number 1 and also beat Blair. I got both in 1. I can't single out the best result.

I'm not a big fan of Blair.  They have a phenomenal program and great coaching, but they are also a factory that recruits nationwide.  There are two Florida kids starting for them this year, and four last year.  I'd be much more impressed with their accomplishments if they did it under the same restrictions most other schools have.

Bama did show how impressive their defense can be when healthy, although their offense has been anemic.  It would have been interesting to see their D against the Oklahoma offense.

The top two in the SEC are great, but the conference lacks depth this season.  The B1G is probably the best conference top to bottom this season.

It looks nice.

My brother-in-law has about a dozen different guitars, so I'm sure he could talk at length about your purchase.  The only instrument I can play is my stereo, but I do appreciate good music.

I might add that if OSU beats Wisconsin, the B1G is not likely to be in the playoff.  All due to the competitive nature of the conference.

That and the fact that Wisconsin has had a pretty weak schedule to this point.  The bottom line is if they win, they are in.

I was wondering if the list based on record sales, or just someone's opinion, so I googled "top selling albums of all time" and got this list (which isn't just rock).  There are some awful albums on the best seller list, so it's just as well we went with someone's opinion.

Here's another list, with different albums.  You would think it would be easy and objective to list the top albums based on sales, but apparently not.

Here is Wikipedia's list.

As much as they hate Israel, you would think they would relish the chance to beat up an Israeli athlete.  Then again, who knows what his government would do to him and his family if he lost to an Israeli.

Toto was pretty big.  2 big hits Rosanna and I Felt the Rain Down in Africa.  I really like those 2 songs but don't know much else from them.

I can't stand Rick Springstein either.

Rick Springfield or Bruce Springsteen?

I'm not a big Beatles fan.
