vaisforlover's sig line is pretty appropriate for this topic.

Matref,  are you a defense lawyer in your spare time? "Your honor my client was not kicking his opponent he was lightly shoving him with his foot the head/neck area. '

When you shove someone with your foot, it's a kick.

And the Iowa board has went from "he has academic issues"  to "we didn't want him anyway".  You just can't make this stuff up.

Well, according to Stroker, the coaching staff at Iowa didn't even contact him after July 1st so I think it is safe to say that the people that matter didn't want him. Now the rationalization and justification by some of the idiots over there is a completely different story.

But hey, can't rip on that board too much. Every forum has its idiots (some even share). But the Iowa board is one of the most trafficked wretsling forums on the web so it would make sense to have more idiots than the rest.

I don't doubt that he has designed your singlets for years and years. If he looked at that finished product and didn't recognize that 'I love beavers' was directly on the crotch then he clearly doesn't take enough time reviewing his designs.

Georgia produces the most chickens for consumption every year. Do you think USAW would let them wear singlets that had "I love cocks" on the lower back of their singlets?

If he didn't put that there on purpose he isn't a very good designer.

The guy that McD lost to in the semis is actually ranked 4th by FILA (whose rankings just aren't very good). Nice to see McD be in it with a chance to win against a wrestler of that caliber.

While I agree if you read what their qualifications are for their rankings it makes a bit more sense.  A lack of international tournaments has kept a lot of guys out of where they probably should be ranked.

I agree with you on the rankings making sense if you look at their criteria. I am saying the criteria is not good therefore overall the rankings are not very good either. And I don't need to be lectured by JB about how something is better than nothing, it's a process, etc. I'm aware. It just is not a good ranking system right now. I hope it improves but I am not going to hold my breath either.

So, theoretically, somebody could forego the University tournament, get skunked at the Senior tournament and challenge for University winner for the spot.

You could also theoretically win University Nationals without actually wrestling a match. It isn't likely to happen but it is theoretically possible.

Can anyone provide any insight to the lawsuit? Lindland's wiki page didn't go in to too much depth but it seems Lindland thought Sieracki used an illegal move and the court agreed and ordered them to re-wrestle the match which Lindland won.

Seems to me like there had to be more going on than just the illegal move or any wrestler who feels slighted due to a wrong call (which there are tons of in international wrestling) could sue and if the court agreeed they would have to re-wrestle.

WVU Is wooing a top Big 1O asst, from an a neighboring state.

Who has interviewed at Purdue as well.  Also a neighboring state.

So it is someone from tOSU. Either Jaggers or Roselli. With Roselli running the freestyle program I am going to guess it is Jaggers that is interviewing.

I think Metcalf might actually have developed the best par terre out of all of our senior level athletes. He gut wrenched everybody he wrestled at the Open and hit Kurbanaliev with it twice at BTS as well.

Jammen,
There's a "date" on every single news page within the website. Right below the headline.

Not when you look at it on a cell phone apparently.

100,000 is the buyout

Yes, but UNI's AD can be trusted with paying the buyout about as far as you can throw him.  Let's hope that he doesn't turn his back on Schwab if things turn south.
Ask someone to explain to you how the buyout works.

I don't know much about how it works, but is it anything like this?

http://globegazette.com/sports/local_sports/penrith-sues-uni-for-breach-of-contract/article_5ba26300-5284-11df-a981-001cc4c002e0.html

I'm confused on what exactly UNI did wrong here and why he would sue? If the interpretation of the contract in the article is true, he was fired after the window for him to recieve that $100K closed.  That sucks for Penrith but maybe next time (if there is a next time) he will negotiate a more favorable contract.

61kg and 70 kg are non-Olympic weights. I do agree that they need to add an 80kg for non-Olympic years. that 26lb jump in between those weights is ridiculous.
