The new season starts tomorrow.

I see that Helen is the only American within the league this year.

In years past, they fielded a handful of Americans within the league.

"In retrospect, I was thinking that I should have taken a "my time" and asked to speak to the head coach for a few moments and speak my mind. "

This.

Plus, you will get a chance to have that conversation later in the season.

Adopted a street dog a little while ago.

Just got his DNA back.

He is part Saluki & part Canaan Dog

One breed is from Ancient Mesopotamia. The other breed is from Ancient Israel.

He's a good boy.  May be such a good boy  that he will bring peace to the Middle East.

"Why aren’t wrestlers from the regional training centers easily within driving distance piling into vans to attend? "

- Good point

Talking out of my butt:

- Let's not forget the unity that wrestling had a few years ago when the IOC dropped wrestling. There was outcry on a global scale. After all, wrestling is a on Olympic sport that is not dominated by a global region (think table tennis & water polo), or by  countries with certain economic strengths (crew & equestrian comes to mind). Rather, wrestling is a sport where rich and poor, large and small have found success.  Heck, I was living in India when Sushil Kumar earned his bronze in Beijing and the place went crazy.  Now, wrestling is popular enough to have an actual pro league where they bring in wrestlers from all over the country to compete...and televise.Plus, Dangal is the most watched Bollywood movie ever.

The top-dogs in the sport are very different politically and culturally: USA, Iran, and Russia. But all three banded together to get the sport back in the Olympics.  Is that sense of camaraderie still there?

- Waaaaay back in my college days, I remember a professor of mine talking about the USA vs. Iran soccer match.  He stated that the Iranian government lifted a ban on western TV stations so that people could watch the game.  Quite a few of the population purchased satellite dishes and and watched European channels to watch the game.  Well, after the game was over, people kept their satellite dishes up and continued to watch western TV programs.  It would be cool if ESPN, StarSports, and BeIN Sports show more wrestling on their stations, after all, there already is an international consumer market that wants to watch more wrestling....and whatever program just happens to be on after the wrestling matches conclude.

Don't forget that Milli Vanilli was huge until they weren't.

mspart

Milli Vanilli was simply ahead of their time.

When listening to the radio, it sounds like voices are so autotuned or computerized that it is no longer a human voice I hear.

On the drive to work, I was trying to figure out which vocal chord is used to create the echo sound when the singer was projecting into the mic.
Of course, it was inevitable once instruments were replaced by a Casio.

How much longer until AI creates a #1 hit on the radio?

Given the stance, why would they not forfeit at the start like they hive in the past?  Was the Israeli bout going on simultaneously and there was a chance the ensuing bout would not occur?

I believe that Sammy Brooks vs. Uri Kalashnikov  was going on at the same time as the match that caused the controversy.

Once Sammy lost, Zhabrailov hit those leg laces on Karimimachiani
