You answered 11 of 11 questions correctly

Sorry guys. This proves the quiz was rather pedestrian. If I got 11 of 11 correct, it wasn't difficult, at all. Ask CTC, I'm not that intelligent.
The reason I frequent this site is because most of the posters on here are intellectually way above the average Joe.  The average Joe would probably only get half of them correct.

OK Akin, what con are you baiting now?   ;D

11 of 11.

You're about the most unscientific person I've ever interacted with. How many tries did it take you to get to that score?
Sparky, is that you Sparky?

One important thing to remember is that the conclusion you should be trying to get to is not whether black holes definitely do or don't exist. You'll never get there, since scientific theories are inherently tentative. What you should hope to finally decide for yourself is whether all the currently available evidence better supports the hypothesis that they do exist or the hypothesis that they don't exist.
Kind of reminds me of Einstein coming up with his theory of General Relativity.  The whole scientific community doubted him.  He was the lonely voice.  He was also the only correct voice.

To be upfront, my position runs slightly contrary to my creationist worldview.  The existence of black holes strengthens my position.  I am simply in a wait and see mode.  I could go either way.  Too often, the scientific community gets all excited and jumps to conclusion prematurely.  As I said earlier, "patience".

I will listen to both sides of the coin for awhile and not giddy happy jump to any conclusions for quite some time.

I would also like to hear both sides of the coin. Would you provide me a few references to the credible current arguments against the existence of black holes? Thanks.
I use Duck Duck Go as a search engine.  Google works too.

Could you be a pal and do that for me?

No, in this case, the responsibility is yours. If you're concerned that they might not take you seriously, I don't think that will be a problem once you've informed them of your academic qualifications and extensive research experience.
I'm just a follower.  I will listen to both sides of the coin for awhile and not giddy happy jump to any conclusions for quite some time.  Science can't even tell me how an ant's brain works yet  alone a shadow photo of a "black hole".

ctc, do you feel you have a duty to inform the EHT team about your reservations? They've announced some rather extensive follow-on efforts which they may wish to put on hold pending your proclamation.
Could you be a pal and do that for me?  Not all scientists are on board  with this.  You do want this to be like coffee - it is good for you, it is bad for you, it is good for you, it is bad for you, etc?

It was a decent test.  Most in society are simply dumber than dirt.  11 of 11.

I am going to hold off awhile while different scientists analyze the picture and data gathered.  I am not ready to proclaim that black holes do exist.  Patience.

I watched a pretty definitive video showing Suriano grabbing Fix's head gear in the 2nd OT on that pass by. It wasn't incidental.
Couldn't tell if he had the head gear or if fingers buried in hair.  The head gear did not move as if pulled on.  Cheap attempt to win.  He should have tried to actually score a TD instead.  He had 8 nminutes to shoot and took one shot that was lame.

And he is in the quarterfinals.  Buck is his good luck charm.

Is it Tom or Terry that slaps Sam before every match?
Buck, you could bring your lotion and rub him down before the match.  Make sure his skin is soft and smooth.   ;D

Mighty gracious of you buck; but, I'm not attending this year.  I will be glued to my computer screen watching the whole thing.  Have a great time.

Dangle a quarter mil under the table to a $70,000 coach and it (apparently) works wonders.
Could this explain Maryland's Big Ten performance?
