I hear you, mspart.  I too am a dinosaur.  I have never owned a cell phone.  I do have a massive CD collection and will pop one in while traveling to avoid the repeat, repeat, repeat.

I am worried that Flo deal screwed the BTN wrestling broadcasts. I don't care to watch wrestling on my laptop anymore.
BTN Plus is still an option.  Flo carries the exact same thing.

Santana.  I tire of hearing Black Magic Woman and Oye Como Va 50 times a day.

mspart
I'd get tired of any group 50 times a day.  BTW, I also hate kiddie pop music like Madonna, Katie Perry, and Cyrus.  No thanks.  That would have been Bay City Rollers and KISS in my day.  Teenie Bopper music.

Abba

mspart
I wouldn't classify them as "classic rock".  I actually liked them; but, then again, I am one weird dude.  I like a very wide spectrum of music excluding Rap and Opera.

Toto was pretty big.  2 big hits Rosanna and I Felt the Rain Down in Africa.  I really like those 2 songs but don't know much else from them.

I can't stand Rick Springstein either.

Rick Springfield or Bruce Springsteen?
Ah rats....Bruce.

There is not readily available stats to back up the past All Star meets.  I can remember in 1993 how awesome it was.  It then had a very high percentage of top dogs.

I would venture to say that the Big Ten almost always has 17 AA's in the finals.

But I have them readily available -- with a little bit of digging.

To the stats ...

Big Ten Finals (Returning AA's in finals)
2017: 13/20
2016: 15/20
2015: 11/20
2014: 14/20
2013: 15/20

All-Star Classic
Both in-season
1992 (Iowa City): 19/20 - 5 #1 vs. #2
1993 (Lehigh):  16/20 - 6 #1 vs. #2

November.
2017-18: 17/20
2016-17: 16/20
2015-16: 16/20
2014-15: 20/20 (3x non-D1 champ Brock Gutches vs. Kokesh)
2013-14: 17/20

All-Americans in Finals/All-Star
Last 5 Years
Big Ten: 68/100
All-Star: 86/100
[/quote]You the man.  I actually looked for them and couldn't find them.  Good job, well done.  :)

I can live with Boston and the Doors - just not excited about them.
The Cars - agreed
The Beatles - I'm half and half.  I don't care for the "yeah, yeah, yeah" twangie stuff but do love Elenore Rigby, Yesterday, Here Comes the Sun, and etc.

When someone says it's "supposed to be," they aren't looking at anything truly historical to back up that claim. The lowest number of All-Americans (D1) I can remember in the event since I started working it/covering it, etc. was 15. Find me another event where 10 weights match up that have at least 15 All-Americans in them, outside of the NCAA Division I finals.

their finals don't get 17 All-Americans  in the finals. The Big Ten MIGHT some years.

this is an exhibition and I love that it kicks off the season now.
How was the viewership?  How was the attendance?

if guys don't want to wrestle they can't wrestle.

which #1 vs #2 do you want to use? TOM?  Flow?  Win?  Wrestlestat?
Somebody's.

Remember when this event was in Janurary and the top dogs did want to wrestle in it?

17 out of 20 wrestlers were All-Americans. Better than any single dual at any point this season.
Yeah but an All Star meet is suppose to be #1 vs #2 and not an entertaining dual.
