apparently, Casey Cunningham has said that Shakur received his 6th year. I can only assume Cassar gets one too now, since he has a much stronger case.
No one has given the answers to my easy questions in the first post of this thread. I guess they were too easy.
Maybe this one is a little harder. In what two consecutive years did an undefeated D1 wrestler take the only loss of his college career in the NCAA Finals? Who were the two wrestlers, and by whom were they upset?
He has done really good work with the Oklahoma RTC but, obviously, the success at the college level has yet to follow. I still think you have to give him next year and the year after to see how his recruits develop and to get rid of a few more holdovers. It can be difficult to change the culture when the old guard is still around. Not many of those holdovers left actually.
If OU was scoring 20 or 30 points at the tournament and if there was some obvious enthusiasm or if there was some improvement in the performances of some of the older wrestlers on the team I guess I would agree with giving him more time. But when his team scores 2 points in the tournament, the athletes appear apathetic even at home, and your (non transfer) junior and senior starters appear to have gotten worse since their mildly successful freshman seasons its hard to believe that patience is warranted.
No, I think it's that OkieSpladle didn't like seeing what Steveson did to his homeboy White.
