My daughter set up a google chat for the 4 families so we could sing happy birthday to one of the 3 year olds.  He got screwed out of all the birthday parties.  It was a pretty neat half hour with all eight grand kids chatting at the same time.  You can see video from all but he who talks loudest gets the big screen, While singing, the big screen bounced between all of the videos making kind of like being there..   I told him that as soon as we can all get back together he's getting a real birthday party wherever he wants it.  If you've got distant kin an a camera on your computer its far better than Facetime.  I just hope we get to have that party before his 4th.  We've got 2 more in July and 1 in August. Fingers crossed we dont miss anymore.
Your family ROCKS!

Well I was sitting here minding my own business trying to work from home when there is a knock on the door. I run to the door before the dogs eat whoever is there.  Lucky for him they were good this time.

Amazon Prime driver headed up the neighbors place to deliver and decided to turn around where there clearly is no room to do so.  He ended up off the driveway into a hill with fairly loose dirt.  At the bottom of said hill are big trees and a creek.  He came very close to ending up there.  He came over to ask for help.  So I went up there to guide him.  Big van rear wheel drive.  As he backed up he was sliding a little and was down so far he couldn't traverse the concrete pad.   He kept skipping off it.  So I went and got a 2X6 and a big piece of plywood to make a ramp.  Instead I used them to fill the gap between the dirt and the driveway.  It worked!  So off he went and the neighbors hill looks like a war zone of tire troughs.  So I did my good deed for the day.  He  was a very young kid and almost lost the van.  Any more top heavy and he really could have.  That was a dangerous area for him to be stuck in.  I think we got lucky.   Anyway, that was about 30 minutes ago!  It's good to do good for others.  Makes you feel good all inside.   :D

Good on ya' Art, you made a difference in someones life!

That's why boxing is called the sweet science.  There is a lot more to it than just beating on someone.

I guess it was a good show.  But both are multimulti millionaires now so they are the ones laughing.

Good points, Art! I'm just at a loss as to how people don't embrace Boxing Fundamentals 101. I guess they're putting it all together, just really slow. I also wonder how beneficial weight cutting and rehydration is. From the outside looking in, it looks like Conor would of benefited from more training (skills) and less lifting (stop with the tires).

A lot of the so-called conditioning issues also have to do with technique. If your technique is bad you're going to be inefficient as gas sooner. Conor isn't an efficient boxer. He looked very stiff to me.

You're correct in everything you say, he is very inefficient, he stays tense. He does not husband his physical resources well.

But he got the win he wanted - a giant payday.

Bet on the boxer in a boxing match and the MMA fighter in the cage.

You're spot on, Bob! The payday is what counts! As an aside, isn't it kind of embarrassing when a 27 year old gasses against a 40 year old? MMA guys, stop flipping tires, and start traing "cardio"
