Be glad you weren't educated in Texas.

Yeah...at least I'm semi-literate. Would probably be scratching pictures of stick figures in the dirt to communicate if I grew up in Texas.

Honestly I wouldn't come forward until the next to last day and I'd remain anonymous.

Just think of the investment value you just let out the back door because of your inaction.

Hmmmm. I'd probably give my mom and dad a million.

$600,000,000 (more likely $900,000,000).......you really are cheap SOB

Hey...they are in their upper 80s. They don't have enough time to spend over a million.

On the other hand...I AM a cheap SOB.

Okie doke lads...which flavor of pie do you prefer?

Pretty average oater. The action wasn't bad. Special effects were quite good. I'd say except for the slaughter and torture scenes at the end that it was a conventional western. Acting was decent.

I did enjoy the vivisection, but there were too many plotholes for me to consider it a top of the line western.

2.5 stars (out of 4)

Kansas Governor Sam Brownback has ordered state officials to cut off funding for Planned Parenthood and its affiliates through the state Medicaid program, a move the organization said on Wednesday it would challenge in court.

Brownback, a Republican, said in his state of the state address on Tuesday that he would direct the state health secretary to ensure that no taxpayer money go to Planned Parenthood, which he said trafficked in baby body parts.

"No longer will we send the money of hard-working Kansans to fund an industry that disrespects life and violates the moral conscience of our people," Brownback said in a statement.

The governor's statement was an apparent reference to videos secretly recorded by an anti-abortion group that activists said showed that Planned Parenthood officials in some states had discussed the sale of aborted fetal tissue.

Planned Parenthood has denied any illegal payments, calling the videos distortions of the issue of fetal-tissue donations. The organization has said it has received only reimbursements for its costs, which are legal under U.S. law.

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment said it would issue a termination letter to Planned Parenthood of Kansas and Mid-Missouri.

Laura McQuade, president and chief executive of the Kansas and Mid-Missouri Planned Parenthood, said the planned termination would result in a legal battle.

"Kansans and their health care providers are not Mr. Brownback's punching bag and we will fight back," McQuade said.

Federal funds cannot be used for abortions, but Planned Parenthood also provides Medicaid covered services such as contraception, cancer screening and other care.

Several states have sought to cut off funding for Planned Parenthood following the release of the videos. Courts have blocked some of those attempts at least temporarily in Utah, Louisiana, Alabama and other states.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So to sum up Brownback as Governor....he bankrupted the state with idiot fiscal decisions (the old GOP standby....massive upper class tax cuts!). He continues to fight the ACA in his state which would benefit tons of poor Kansans, and now he's decided to run the "abstinence only" route, because it's apparently so successful (thanks Bristol!) and because "planned parenthood trafficked in baby parts", which has been debunked by every credible source as hogwash.

Seriously...does this guy do ANYTHING that shows a lick of common sense?

Not so much us, but an NAIA team with a coach willing to give second (and third) chances ends up with some less than savory characters.  It makes for some interesting times.

Sigbet....Andrew Long techs or pins his way to a National Title this year. Any takers?

Except the B1G is the wrestling equivalent of the SEC?

I get the B1G is great and respect their commitment to wrestling, but I think they get too many bids to NCAAs. When 10 guys at a weight qualify from one conference at HWT...that's pretty ridiculous. (They were pretty much the 10 best though, lol).

The B1G is far more dominant in wrestling than the SEC is in football.  The too many bids thing is a garbage argument.  If you want the best 330 guys at NCAAs then the numbers suggest the B1G gets LESS bids than they should (likely due to the auto-qualifier rule).  If you don't want the best 330 at NCAAs then make whatever argument you want, you've started from a flawed premise.

I get that. What I don't get is why 10 guys from a conference qualify for a national tourney where only 8 guys place.I'd rather fill in the brackets with D2 and D3 studs than 9th place guys from the B1G. Granted D2/D3 guys aren't invited anymore...but maybe they should be.

Inviting 9th place guys from a conference tourney to the "postseason" is akin to a 2-14 team making the NFL playoffs.

What do you want?  An 8 man bracket?

Cap of invitees at 8 per conference per weight. Realistically the only conference that has a chance of qualifying that many is the Big 10 anyway.
