Kinda reminds me of when my son entered the Novice National Championships in 6th grade in OKC. There were about 8 in his weight. When he won it he got a shirt that proclaimed him Novice National Champion.
Even he knew it was a joke. But his grandmother was totally awed... or pretended to be anyway.
Hehehe....yeah, love that type stuff. I was the "Green Country Champion" at 97 pounds in 1976, btw.

Reports surfaced later Tuesday that Marsteller had quit the team, which Smith said were untrue. A prized recruit out of Kennard-Dale High School (Fawn Grove, Pa.), Marsteller posted a 166-0 record while winning four Pennsylvania AAA state titles. The redshirt freshman competed in five duals this season for the Cowboys, going 2-3. He climbed as high as No. 14 in the national rankings at 157 pounds before falling out of top 20 over the last month.
I guess he tweeted, or facebooked a comment about being sick of wrestling or something, Vise. That's why a lot of guy are thinking he's done.

Hmmmm. I'd probably give my mom and dad a million. I'd distribute smaller amounts ($50,000) to relatives I like and tell the others to piss off. There are about 5 people that would get money out of me. Pay off the rest of the bills (don't have many), then I'd move someplace nice and secluded, preferably in the mountains somewhere.

I was happy to see Hunter wrestled, although he lost to the #8 guy 5-3. Still, shows he can compete against AA level guys. Hopefully he's true to form come NCAAs.
I'd add Kaid Brock to the list, although he's hasn't AA'd yet. I think he'd have been a shoe in this year for at least low AA.

No I mean Jack Nicholson...the actor.. was a 5 time state champ. You can trust me on this.
Nicholson was a lot things growing up in Jersey, but a wrestler was not one of them.
Little known fact, he and Danny DeVito grew up childhood best buddies. Their parents owned a business together. He didn't wrestle either.
I find that hard to believe. Nicholson is 7 years older than Devito....what kids hang out with kids 7 years younger than they are?
They grew up in close proximity and knew several of the same people is what I've always heard, not that they were close friends whose families were business associates. That being said I believe they are good friends today and have been since "Cuckoo's Nest".

Never got into his music. Too "avant guarde" , punk wannabe...or something. Hard to define, really. He had a couple great tunes.
I think he was a better actor than musician. His "Tesla" in "The Prestige" was really interesting. Same for his Goblin King.
