I like the home front idea of 5 matches minimum at tournaments.  I hated freestyle and greco the first year I tried it (10th grade) because I would go two and out every time.  I won exactly one match.  If there were 5 match round robins, I still may have won only one match, but I would have had 25 matches over that season as opposed to only 11.  It might keep more kids engaged in freestyle.

So, in order to catch up, how would you implement gaining more international exposure.  How much of our governing body's budget go toward getting our middle and high school age kids overseas?  Some talented wrestlers are going to be hard pressed to foot 2k or so to travel a couple weeks abroad.

I am not sure if it is too much time on conditioning.  Freestyle has so many subtle elements to set up and execution and I don't think we (the US teams) have enough coaches that fully grasp them.  We cannot expect to just bulldog opponents across the mats and wear them down anymore.  Hell, even Iranian wrestlers are in decent shape now.

The impression I get is that as a whole, US wrestlers need to clean up their technique.  Exposure internationally isn't enough if execution is poor.

So pretending you are in charge of developing the next era of World participants, would you rather they skip NCAA and go strictly OTC and regional centers.

I hope he puts together another good run in '16.   Seems like if he tweaks his defense and keeps his gas tank, he will be right in the mix again.

It isn't like he is god or something.  He could just as likely lose in the Olympics as any other time.  Everyone is beatable.

At least you have a middle school state tournament.

Looks like as many as 10 killed and 20 injured at Umpqua Community College.

Never said I did sets of 10.  Three repetitions.

So now they have to design a new sterile probe to send to that region if it is possible.  The next 20 years of exploration will be exciting if you are into that sort of thing.

Doubt all you want, you weren't there and you don't know a thing about me.

I'm still not going to root for an increase though.

In high school I curled 75 lb dumbells.

I have every idea how complicated life is.  The planet is full of inhospitable places, whether it's the bottom of the ocean with hydrothermal vents or hot pots in Yellowstone, and yet life flourishes.  Finding microbes on Mars would be the default expectation.
