Out of Bounds.  PSU is off the protection area of the mat throughout.

This must be a FINALS only rule as all year if any part of the controlling wrestler was in bounds it was a TD.

not true. if a wrestler is completely off the mat (off the mat meaning 'off of the mat' not 'out of bounds') the ref has to stop it.

if you saw something different this season, the ref got it wrong.

i saw another match at the ncaa's (during a round w/ all 8 mats) where this was called. although in that match the takedown wasn't as near as close as this one was. the wrestler was kind of working on it when the other wrestler was off.

Key Questions:
1. Is death an option?
2. Is it pre-op Tranny?
3. Is it Post op?
3.If it is Post op do I ever find out she is a dude?
If 1 is a yes Im killing myself
if 1 is a no and 2 is a No  but 3 is a Yes but 4 is also a Yes,  Im banging the giant
If 1 is a no and 2 is a No and 3 is a Yes and 4 is a No then Im banging the tranny

I hope he does well.  Personally I would like some more objective evidence as far as his D1 talent level.  I think he has a lot of potential, but unless 195 is very weak nationally I wouldn't put him top 10 based off of athleticism.  Cody can develop talent well do he is in a good situation to improve.

do you know the resumes of the top ten kids?

apparently you don't know larsons. but you know the other kids in the top 10/20?

i mean, cause that's what you were getting at with the 'objective' comment, right?  ::)

you are right on two things

1) he's never wrestled a ranked kid

2) with the split of 189 into 182-195, these weights are thin-ish nationally

haha. several people were teasing me about this.

1) the ref made a gesture that i may have been skirting the edge of getting tossed.

2) my high school coach always does that when arguing a call. somehow that must have sunk in over the years because without thinking, i emulated him,.

VAIS - i thought it could have been called nearfall on the TD too.

on the other side of the coin, i wouldn't have been surprised if they called it a slam. watch again. he powerbombed him, driving his shoulder into him. when this was going on live, i knew it was going to be bad.

here's another thing to look at: when moisey hits the flying cement job, look how long it took for the ref to start counting backs. he had the reaction time just slightly more responsive than a man in a coma. i think he assumed Godwin was gonna roll through or something.

either way, don't think im lobbying for 'my guy'. i posted this simply as a discussion point and well frustration at this scenario in many bouts.

the fleeing call, or non-call, really had no bearing in the match.

the winning state SHOULD host it. that would be cool.

however, even if CALI wins it, i think they should "host" it in Vegas.

is that stupid? i just think it makes financial and logistical sense.

i think FLO should move it to Vegas

imo, it was all hit or miss.

the good thing is, the entrant list is visible well ahead of time for flo and nhsca. not so sure how long in advance the list was up for usaw.

so, in theory, you can look at who's at your weight and decide if its worth it.

i agree with the last post that some of the flo weights were lacking. 6 through 38 were pretty darn tough but above that there were many weights where there wasn't a single ranked kid.

quite honestly if the event wasn't in PA and if CA didn't organize such a good group, it could have been bad.

should be interesting to see how the dynamics of all these tournaments play out going forward.

it certainly seems as if im in the minority on this one.

i just don't understand what  a flee is.

the kid jumped away from the action and to the oob.

i'll say this, if it isn't a flee the way the textbook definitiion of it is, they need to change the rulebook.
