Neither, I call it a coke.
Imagine the good that could be done, if people were less worried about their differences, and more worried about doing good for everyone.

Always turns into an argument here.  My wife is from the North West (Grew up in Oregon, spent high school and college in Seattle) and calls it pop.

I grew up in New England and call it soda.

My mom (also a New Englander) calls everything of the sort "tonic".

Hey, anyone ever tried Moxie?  Back it 1903 it was the number one soft drink, but now you only rarely see it.

That is Texan for ya.  I got down from Iowa in 77 and checked into the dorm.  My room mate asks me if I want a Coke.  I say "sure".  He then asks me what kind.  I'm thinking that he already offered a Coke so what gives.

I voted "pop".

Around here when we say "Lets go get a coke" its a generic term for getting a soft drink.

While growing up in Ohio I used the term pop.  After about 9 years here in Tennessee it's a Coke.

OK, I added that as an option.

After all, this week is the 25th birthday of New Coke.

So was New Coke the worst or best marketing decision ever?
