Over at da mat, Tec87 had a great breakdown of the USA's FS results in Baku....

Here is a breakdown of the teams performance
55kg:
Escobedo 4-1: Bronze Medal (Notable wins: Blanc, Former world Champ Velikov of Bulgaria) Loss was to 2008 junior world champ Israpilov of Russia

Blanc 1-1

60kg:
Bunch 3-1: Silver Medal (Notable wins: Multi-time world champ Mansurov of Uzbekistan) Loss was to olympic silver medalist and world bronze Fedorshin of Ukraine

66kg:
Metcalf 3-1: Bronze Medal (loss was to eventual winner)


74kg:
Howe 0-1 (Loss to Chamsularev of Azerbaijan-world silver medalist)
Paulson 4-1: Silver Medal (Notable win: Former world champ Farniev of Russia) Loss was to Gostiev of Russia

84kg:
Gavin 1-1
Herbert 3-1: Silver Medal (Notable win: Tigiev Uzbekistan-Olympic silver medalist)

96kg:
Bergman 1-2: 7th place (defaulted in wrestlebacks)

120kg:
Sigman 1-2: 7th or 8th place
Dlagnev 3-1 Silver Medal

Sigman 1-2: 7th or 8th place
Dlagnev 3-1 Silver Medal

Interesting. I still think that Dlagnev is the better wrestler, even with the last two match results.
