AKRON, Ohio – Pick a style of wrestling and Reece Humphrey is excelling at it right now.

A 2008 World University silver medalist in freestyle and a 2009 NCAA runner-up in folkstyle, Humphrey tried his hand at Greco-Roman wrestling on Friday.

And his remarkable run of success continued.

Humphrey pulled out two hard-fought matches before rolling to a lopsided finals win in the University Nationals on Friday afternoon at the University of Akron Field House.

Humphrey, who is lethal in the top position, swept Josh Strait 3-0, 7-0 in the finals at 63 kg/138.75 lbs.

“I didn’t even really know what I was doing out there,â€

Are you guys familiar with a wrestler from Illinois by the name of Akui (Sophmore).

He won the 167.5 lb cadet greco class.

And, last week he smoked two of Indiana's really good wrestlers at Brute.

He beat both the Indiana wrestlers by a score of 3-1. I am not sure I would say he smoked them. What do you call it when a guy wins by a lot?

Akui beat indiana's state champ (duckworth) 9-4 and another very good wrestler (atwood) 3-1.

If atwood only scored one point I would say he got handled. He is an extremely capable wrestler.

A match doesn't have to be lopsided for one wrestler to dominate.

When both Indiana teams met at Brute atwood "smoked" duckworth at.
