As MMA has picked up major steam over the last five years, many have said that amateur wrestling would benefit greatly.

            So the big question is: Has it?

Advertising in a wrestling publication, is funding wrestling. I assume that's what you're referring to.

Well that and they dont get that they do little to know advertising themselves as well.

I guess they don't see it in the dollars sense. Everytime they mention a guys background and say he was a D1 AA or whatever, that's advertising for our sport.

What I think they are referring to is actually seeing these ex-wrestlers helping to save programs, kicking money back to USAW or whatever. I can understand that. With all the money a guy like Randy Couture has made, is he helping promote or save our sport?
