I think Lewboo successfully mocked the new rules.

He sure did, and it looked like he had fun doing it.[/quote]

I think that was his whole idea behind the comeback. When you listen to his interview, he talks about people just standing around and doing nothing.

They should've played this as Randy Lewis' entrance music:

I mean no disrespect to RL, but he looked like a 132 pounder who carbo loaded to get up to 163.

He was a small 162 to be sure. He beat the so-so D-II guys (I can hang with them too), but as soon as he ran into a stud D-I type guy, with a hurt back (to be expected), he was toast. I am nowhere near the wrestler of Lewis, but wrestled a bunch of college wrestlers last summer, and know the feeling. You can hang with the under DI guys (well at least as long as my lungs held out), and the "trying to make the line-up" DI guys, but the starter, DI AA potential guys, are at a different level. They work you, set you up, make you work some more, set you up, and then go in for the kill. I am sure the DI guys on this board know that drill.

I took solice in that I could at least hang with the other college kids and fat/hips/stall with the HS studs. ;-)

I just think the first two guys blew a rare opportunity. How many mediocre wrestlers can come out and say "I beat an Olympic gold medalist"? These guys had that opportunity. All they had to do was push Randy and wear him out, then have a take down fest. They couldn't do it. They were too afraid to try!

I think that as well. No disrespect is intended but if those younger guys would've pushed the pace, they could've won. They played right into his hands and lost.

Fay took it easy on Lewis I imagine out of respect. Easily had a big throw at the beginning of the 2nd but opted for a gentle finish. He should go to Veteran Worlds, they have been many world medalist compete in them.

I think he could definately do some damage on the Vet's league.

Somewhere Darryl Burley is laughing his ass off.
