Wisconsin knocks off #11 Michigan 19 - 16
« on: January 13, 2013, 07:35:05 PM »
Sweet.  I attended the dual at the UW Fieldhouse today and it was a beautiful thing to see.  Coach Davis made a shrewd move when he swapped his #174 and #184 wrestlers.  Instead of a likely 2 losses at those weights he spit them 1 - 1.  Nice.

welcome home Rossi!!

can't believe how much Schmitt's fallen off over the last year+.  that match is a toss up a year or so ago.  is he just cutting too much?  if so i have a hard time believing he can't beat the 57 or even the 65.

Jackson Hein really seems to have improved from last season.
Since Jammen has told me twice to change my signature, I can only assume his wrestling knowledge is no longer something I can count on along with pizza and beer.

the Schmitt/Grajales match was actually much closer than the final score. Schmitt looked great but gave up a reversal and nearfall (if I recall correctly).

Regarding Rossi, Graff took him down at will but couldn't get back points.  Rossi had absolutely no defense for Graff's TD's.  Graff mixed them up and simply beat him from every position/angle.

Agreed. Hein looks extremely solid and shows very good fundamentals.  Physically, he always seems to look bigger than his opponents.
