Also, I've always felt if the tournament is "iffy" then err on the side of scoring it.

Last years mattown tournament ended up being scored as Lock Haven did a great job of setting up a competitive tournament and mattown's date is key as it is at the same time as Midlands and Scuffle !

As far as tourneys go I agree with Okie Spladle - what we need is to know before the draft what tourneys are in and what are out - it is not perfect, but maybe the formula of a certain qualifying number of teams should be based on the previous year?  That way we look at last year to decide whether to include it this year.

just my humble opinion.

As a newby I just need some basic information-

1)  How much does it cost to play
2)  What do you win
3) when is the draft and is there a supplemental one later
4) who is available to draft (any keepers from last year)
5) Is it total points or week by week  match play
6) which tournaments count and which do not
7) are trades permitted
8) Trade deadline
9) 1 season or two (regular and NCAA)
10) What is all this about wild cards
11  Is there a secret handshake I should know about

Most of that is addressed here: http://forum.theopenmat.com/index.php/topic,24400.0.html

We don't play for money here and win nothing but pride and bragging rights.

That works - thanks!

EMU has a few decent teams. It's definitely scoreable.  MSU not bad either.  Id score both honestly..
