We went over greco today at my club. We had a HWT AA come and show us the body lock, lateral drop, duck under and the crunch. I was wondering what the best greco move for a lanky guy is? I guess it would be a body lock but what do you think?

o yea the slideby was my favorite move in folkstyle. He also showed us a duck under from double underhooks, that is a easy move that I will try out as well. Greco seemed pretty fun, but since it was the 1st time I did it I was tensing up about getting thrown and all that.

Ha I remeber that like it was yesterday. A kid named Pat Nelson. It was my first greco event and I had never even wrestled it before.

It didnt hurt but I was really pissed that is when coach Chandler approached me the first time and said from now on he wanted me traning with the Seniors he was coaching 3-days a week.

When I was a Soph. in HS. I was the throwing dummy for two olympians and 4 world team members. Trust me I got my butt beat bad but man I learned alot.

No those guys were all older then me.

Foy, Koslowski, Morgan, Morgan and Morgan..

My age Group was pretty solid as well. But we all went to different schools but trained greco together.

I see that is still crazy but it would be a great opportunity to learn wrestling.

You said you were 6'4. Were you a HWT? Did you ever wrestling Karelin?

I was a Heavy or 220 mostly. In HS I was a 191.5 guy.

I never wrestled him in a match but i did in practice, he came to Minny to train for a month my freshman year in college.
