18 year old walks through Dave Shultz tourney
« on: February 01, 2014, 02:28:02 PM »
Georgi Gogaev is 18 years old and easily won in freestyle at 97kilos.  Would be a sensation if an American did it beating NCAA champions and such

Impressive.

Wow!  I don't like Kilgore's attitude and he got humbled but wow, Gogaev is a monster!

Teched Pendelton, Simaz and Kilgore.  Wow...

Good to see Fortune win HWT, does this mean he isn't going MMA?

Kilgore looks slow there.

I think Gogaev made him look that way.  Maybe he is the next Bouvaissa!

I bet John Smith already has a job lined out for his dad and affordable housing for the entire family.  ;D

I noticed in the world rankings that Gogaev is ranked 20th.  So he is apparently a schmuck.

Gogaev looks really freaking good, looked almost casual in his thrashing of Kilgore

I don't have the link to the article right now, but the Blackzillian MMA team (Rashad Evans' team) will help fund Fortune's FILA wrestling career for now.

Smith has gotten the families of several wrestlers (with little brothers) to move to Oklahoma. My guess is he tells them that with Oklahoma's instate tuition so low that it matches or beats what the out of pocket expenses are for a partial scholarship at other schools.

So far the Rosholts, the Dieringers and the Rogers have all moved to Stillwater or in the case of the Rosholts to nearby Ponca City. All had the older brother on scholarship and had younger brothers still in HS or Jr High.

I dont see any NCAA violations unless Smith is arranging jobs for the parents, and that might not even be a violation.
