Hot Dog on an Ant Hill....how long till it's gone?

There is an ant hill about 50 feet from the back door. Had a hot dog left over from the day before. I dropped the hot dog (regular sized Nathan's Famous all beef) on top of the anthill (not obstructing the hole). Within a couple minutes I bet 30 ants were crawling all over the thing.

How long till the dog is gone?

Result: 46.5 hours later still about 1.25 inches of hot dog are left. The ants seem to dislike the casing and are taking the meat in the middle first.

I worked at hot dog and sausage making plant one summer in college.  Hot dogs right out of the smokehouse are delicious.
