Font Change
« on: October 10, 2015, 12:33:52 pm »
I didn't actually like the font we were using all that much, so I have changed it.  I decided to keep it close to what people are used to, using a sans-serif font, even though I tend to prefer reading (long passages, particularly) with serifs.  I like the outcome for reading, but not as much for titles and other special text.  Your opinions are welcome.

Good, because I like it better.

I'm presently screwing around with the header.  If anyone sees breakage up by their avatar, don't mind it for now.

How 'bout fixing that edit function while your at it. To me its a far bigger issue than the font style.

That may entail actual work... but I may well see about it.

Meanwhile, people need to use the preview button, and stop being so lazy about proofreading.

I don't think so.  If I had to worry about getting re-elected, I'd have said something nicer.

The basic font is ok, but I would like it to be a bit bigger.  The forum is now a bit harder to read because the actual size is smaller.

That's interesting; it's the same size as it was, for me.  What browser and operating system?

Windows 7 and Firefox.  When I write the size is similar.  When I read posts, the font size is definitely smaller.

No, no problem for reading.  Just that the font is noticeably smaller from the day before the change.  But thanks for asking.  I remember when I got glasses when I was 29 or 30 for far vision.  I couldn't believe the difference!!
