Terry - The Movie
« on: December 30, 2015, 07:12:08 pm »
So after months of buildup I was anxious to view the Flo documentary on Terry Brands.  Based on everyone's opinions we'll be able to come up with our own ratings for the film.

How many stars do you give it?

As predicted they totally ignored his time at Foxcatcher.  Did you know Terry is intense?  Pablum that will be lapped up by your average wrestling fan.

Can you edit the choices to levels of intensity?

You know as well as I do, no wrestling site, like Flo, will portray any wrestler in bad light. At least not on purpose.

He spent very little time at Foxcatcher, so far as I know.  Neither Terry nor Tom liked it there.

Oh, speaking of which, Nancy's film is finally out:  Team Foxcatcher. Should show up on Netflix soon.

Someone really needs to do a Tolkien like Lost Tales treatment on Foxcatcher. It has to be German predominately (with Celtic and Greek influence), I'm thinking mainly a fusion of Das Rheingold, Nibelungenlied and the Norse Epics, with the Irish and Greek as perspective. du Pont is Alberich (man turned into a dragon by lust/desire) from Wagner/Tolkien. Dave Schultz is Siegfried from The Niebelungenled he is surrounded by his knights (other wrestlers at Foxcatcher). It has the makings of a classic.
