I didn't get to see the match, in a way I am glad I missed it.

He was late to the party, danced up until the last minute then got busy but it was too late.  The Russian was very strong.

So a shot clock and two step outs vs one legitimate takedown.  Why wasn't the Russian ever put on the shot clock?

According to commentary on themat, the opening of the match looked more like a boxing match?

- One of the more absurd comments and that's saying something coming from that poster.  Obviously didn't watch the match.

Don't know where it was at, but his head certainly wasn't in Rio today.

He seemed to be holding back in the first period.

Burroughs got hammered in the wrestlebacks.  He didn't look like himself.  I wonder if he is sick, or if he was just out of it after losing earlier.

I don't think he's given up 4 TDs in a bout since he was a frosh in HS.

I want to go with he must be sick, he didn't look himself at all. Even a bad training camp wouldn't turn in a result like that.

I've seen some people suggest he may have gotten concussed

I tend to think that he just wan't there.  His head wasn't in it and he didn't bring his A game.  Kinda reminded me of Adeline, when Jordan wanted to attack he seemed to be able to get to his attacks but he just waited too long.  Sometimes you just have a bad day.

You could tell from his post match interviews that he'd put a ton of pressure on himself to be the best in the world and I think that weight was too much to handle today.  He's still one of the greatest wrestlers the US has ever seen and I have no doubt that today was just a blip on the radar of his career, unfortunately it was a pretty crappy day to have a blip.

Metcalf might have rolled up that many on him at National Duals

The the pesky cut on his head, any chance the guy was competing with a concussion?

Will this bring Dake back down to 74K?
