Repechage starts at 11:45 today, not 3 PM like all other days.

They want to get it done early for the closing ceremony. I remember in 2012 I missed Jake Varner's Gold because it was something like 4 am est

I'd like to send condolences to those who have given Snyder a bunch of grief on message boards for the last two years. They, no doubt, committed seppuku when Kyle Snyder won Olympic Gold.

Nice run by Snyder.  Close final match, gotta be careful on the edge, there were a couple spots where he could have had a step out called against or placed on the clock again.

Gazyumov (AZE) beat him in July, but Snyder turned the tables on him in the gold medal match.  I really liked what I saw out of Snyder this year.  He took a couple of losses, but learned from them.  His pace and tactics always give him a chance.  If Boltukaev really is done, which he looked to be, we'll probably see a young Russian no one has ever herd of soon with the other contenders at the weight getting older.

Snyder just won the Yarygin. Teched his way into the finals where he met a Russian.  In his final match, he overcame a 4-1 deficit to take a 6-4 lead before securing a pin.

Snyder's pace is unreal. Ruthless aggression is what I'd describe his style to be. Oddly, his bracket had all of the international competetiors on the topside and all of the Russians on the bottom side. Not sure why this is, but it did guarantee a Russian finalist.

It sounds like the Russians decided to bracket that way this year in certain weights.  I can't wait for Snyder/Sadulaev!
