The Romanian wanted to go inside the whole match. He ended up paying for it. I'm a little disappointed that Synder didn't push it a little more toward the end.

Maybe, but he was playing it smart.  No point in taking unnecessary risks and leaving yourself open for a weird call.

Snyder seems like the US wrestler who has the most mat awareness and best understanding of freestyle rules.

I've seen that throw in Greco and in Judo, but not in freestyle. He must have scouted Snyder.
