Any Poco fans?
« on: September 12, 2017, 09:14:55 pm »
Actually, banbasketball and I did have one common interest, his taste in music was phenomenal.  He loved Poco too.  They came out of Hall of Fame super group Buffalo Springfield when it disbanded.  Neil Young and Stephen Stills went one way while Richie Furay, Jim Messina, and Rusty Young began Poco.  They never became super big; but, were super influential and made a big impact on music.  The Eagles plucked Randy Messner and then Timothy B. Schmidt from Poco and Loggins and Messina took off too.  Their music is really great if you like Country/Rock and Folk/Rock done by awesome musicians.  Rusty Young still tours as Poco and still is producing albums (50 years worth now).  His quality of music hasn't faded at all.  Really great stuff even today (Rusty Young album being released 9/15/17).  I cannot pick a favorite; so, I'll post some of my favorites.  If you are a fan, please post your favorite/favorites.

Several are on "ignore".   I won't argue with the ignorant and disrespectful..

In 2 days, Rusty Young is releasing a solo album.  50 years and still producing very high quality tunes.

Here is Jim Messina.  Not sure why he wasn't lead vocals more often.  He had a great career.

You may have noticed that there were 6 different individuals that did lead vocals in the songs I posted,  All awesome.  Here is a good one from 4 years ago from the album All Fired Up.

The major effect for me has been to get Crazy Love stuck in my head.  I can't say I'm entirely pleased with that, but it could certainly be worse.  If it was Copacabana or Seasons in the Sun, I should be very cross.

Obviously, you had a deficiency in your life of Crazy Love.  Glad I could help you fill the void.  I do think you can appreciate the instrumental skill by these artist.  Rusty Young on the steel is magical.  Great artistry.
