Seems more likely that a baseball game would end that way than a football game.

Here's the list, which I believe to be complete, I compiled from online research.

Baseball--four games
5/13/1902  Cincinnati Reds 24, Philadelphia Phillies 2
5/18/1912  Philadelphia Athletics 24, Detroit Tigers 2
7/3/1945  Chicago Cubs 24, Boston Braves 2
8/25/1979  California Angels 24, Toronto Blue Jays 2

Football--three games
12/17/1972  Pittsburgh Steelers 24, San Diego Chargers 2
12/14/1980  New England Patriots 24, Buffalo Bills 2
1/8/2012  New York Giants 24, Atlanta Falcons 2

I think safeties should be worth more than 2 points,

...don't forget, it includes loss of possession.  Kind of like 2 points for an interception.

I know the rule.

Make them worth 5 pts.

Do you like the rule about a try safety being worth one point?

Without that rule, a game could never end in a 6-1 score.

I'll be honest Bob, I didnt know that rule.  But I would pay damn good money to see it happen.
