Miami, Auburn, USC and others coaches arrested by the FBI for fraud. Alleged to be funneling cash upwards if $100K to recruits through adudas and another clothing supplier. Separately, coaches arrested for taking bribes from agents and financial advisors for steering players.

Ban basketball!!!  (Not to be confused with the former contributor to this site.)

Of course, I don't have any room to talk, with 9 potential felons (so far) on the Gator football team.  On the plus side, it was the UF investigators that found the wrongdoing.

If 18 year old adults were allowed to forgo college and play professional basketball right out of high school, this sort of thing wouldn't have happened.

Tennis, golf, baseball, golf, etc.  don't have college requirements to go pro. But, the NFL has a rule that states you must be out of high school for at least three years before you are allowed to be drafted.  Basketball has the one and done rule.

Why?

"Others"  being Oklahoma State University. (I mention this only as a service to N95 who no doubt is deep in research looking for more obscure awards like the Argonia Cup being bestowed on his beloved alma mater.)

Yea typed on the teeny weeny keyboard of my phone while taxiing on a flight.  Could hardly read what I entered.

More .........Arizona, South Carolina, Louisville...

Louisville, this may end Pitino's career....alleging 100K to the family of last year's top recruit.

With all due respect to OSU, they are named solely because the coach involved in the South Carolina problem was hired in 2016 and the allegations date to 2015.

Pitino Louisville suspended...won't be back ........Bowen, the recruit in question has been suspended from practicing.......if the family of his top recruit last year actually took the cash, the kid will have hard time going elsewhere since he will lose eligibility from his enrollment at Louisville.  NCAA rules may require him to leave Lou'val.

The kid may as well play in Europe for a year.  Even then, will the pro's touch a kid tainted with taking cash?

The teams are not on the field for the anthem at NCAA events.

And, yes, cash is a problem.

Will this investigation stay within the realm of basketball, or do you predict other sports will be swept up too?

Anomaly

The athletes are on the field all the time for football at local D2 and D3 games.

Basketball players are always on the court for the anthem.

You suggested it was some kind of NCAA policy.  It is not.

Never suggested it was any policy.
