Leach doing well at WSU
« on: October 10, 2017, 06:25:31 pm »
Leach got the shaft in TX and I was really hopeful that he could do well at WSU.  It looks like a few years of waiting is paying off.  WSU is in the top 10 for the first time in a long time.

and to think Rutgers whupped them 2 years ago.  It amazing how a coach can build or tear down a program.

Well they beat Montana State, Boise State, USC, Oregon State, Nevada, and Oregon.  USC was ranked #5 when WSU beat them.

It has taken Leach a few years but his philosophy is catching on and he is now able to recruit players to little ole Pullman WA.

Funny how WSU's rise parallels UO's fall

Well WSU lost, but they are 6-1 and still in the top 20, which is way better than they were before Leach got there.  I think he has been a net positive in bringing the team back from obscurity.  There is talk that the Apple Cup (the UW/WSU rivalry) may go to WSU after years of no wins.
