Who gets the Big 10 vacancies?
« on: March 19, 2018, 11:10:53 AM »
I do not see Prtizlaff going to either Michigan or Madison.  Sean Bormet seems to make sense at Ann Arbor, but how about Polizzio  at UW?  Others?

Mongo only pawn in game of life.

Yea I saw Davis pulled the plug too.  I think Pritzlaff will stay in NJ.  Too much family out here.  When a slot opened up at RU he called Goodale, Goodale didn't call him.

But, he's a Badger, so there is a strong possibility.  No doubt it would be a tough decision for him....I think.

Bono to Wisconsin

From big fish in a small pond, to just another fish in a lake.

This will be the true test of whether he's a cauliflower rock head or truly a visionary program leader.

He can't be both?  I've always liked Bono.  Best of luck at Wisconsin.

We'll see he could be another Henson.  You don't want your head coach wrestling, you need him recruiting and promoting.

That means he's relying on his assistants.....so does he bag a staff of former Badgers?

Cael did it a few years ago and it didnt seem to hurt PSU much.

He's also the guy who fully tapped into the Pennsylvania talent pipeline.

So why are the two mutually exclusive?

Actually the may be beneficial as you might run into more good recruits at high level events.

Off the topic a little, but could Cael still medal at Worlds?  Last time he tried he got 5th, but I don't think he fully dedicated himself.  Much older now, probably wouldn't even place by now.

Gable wrestled in the room with the guys.  Ground them to dust according to Lewboo.

Yes, Gable was piss pounding those world level young guys for years. He could have won world gold for many years, but he felt like he could make a bigger contribution to the sport as a coach. Staying so active at such a high level at that unmatched Gable intensity is probably why his body fell apart and led him to retire at such a young age. TnT are older now than what Gable was when he retired... certainly doesn't seem like it.
