It is confusing - it seems that for some schools they cannot or do not have to enroll to take the olympic redshirt yet for others they can continue to take classes?  Is that just an Ivy League thing?

By NCAA rule, if the athlete takes advantage of an Olympic waiver, they cannot be enrolled for classes or participate in any sport at any school.  In the case of Snyder, he relinquished his Waiver and reenrolled for the spring term.

In the cases of Yianni and Kolodzik, the Ivy matches the NCAA rule and allows an extra year to complete their eligibility, 4 in 5 instead of 4 in 4.  The NCAA Olympic Waiver for all others allows 4 in 6 instead of 4 in 5.

Technically....unofficial news.....no announcement out of Rutgers as yet and he's on the roster. He has until the 11th to add courses.  Look for an official announcement the evening of the 11th or on the 12th, if he decides to take the Olympic waiver

Hey Leggy have you seen the new wrestling room?

Wrestling lockers are the same.

Quite the room!   I was in the U of MN room years ago back when they were doing really well (2000-2001).  Nothing like that, that's for sure.  Down in the basement with support pillars that you had to avoid.

Rutgers - Wow!

Thant's impressive, the locker room looks really dark though.

It's not dark, but  its not super bright either

The word on Suriano is he will take the fall term off on the waiver, wrestle some, reassess come January, and either stay on the waiver or enroll and wrestle.
