Injury Updates
« on: February 19, 2020, 01:16:32 PM »
Anyone have any insight into the following injured wrestlers and whether they will be competing in the post season this year?

125  Patrick McKee - Minn
125  Patrick Glory - Princeton

133  Seabass - NW (I know he wrestled once - is he back for good?)
133  Desanto - IOWA (same thing - one match since his default)

141  Real Woods - Stanford

149  Requir Van something or other - Stanford

157  David Carr - ISU

165  David McFadden - VT

184  Zahid - ASU
184  Abe Assad - Iowa

197  Jake Holschlag - UNI

285  Cass - Iowa - also one match since being out for a short time

I am sure there are others - thanks for sharing.

DeSanto wrestled against Minnesota last Saturday.

Kolodzik was back in a Princeton single last Saturday, Glory was not.

I can't imagine Glory missing the Rutgers match this weekend, but will let you know if he doesn't dress.

I heard from Tim Johnson on the BTN Network coverage of the UNI-UW meet that Jake Holschlag is definitely out for the rest of this year but he will be back next year.    I had been listening to Doug Schwab's pressers and he kept saying they were holding out hope Holschlag would be back for the Big 12's.

I hope Johnson was not blowing smoke because I dropped Holschlag last night.

And then at the same time it appears Max Thomsen also sat out last night -

Glory suited up, wrestled and won 10-5 over Alvarez.

Next up EIWAs so if Glory's injury was anything of significance, he would not have wrestled.

I am pretty sure you meant Aguilar - but I am sure you are not the first, nor the last, to get those two names mixed up.

It seemed at one point that everyone starting for RU was either an Anthony or a Nicholas.

BTW Brucki, Princeton 197 tweaked his knee again.  He finished, and lost but didn't give 6 ID.  Same knee that has given him problems in the past.  He'll qualify but I don't know how long he will last in the big tournament.

Sounds bad,  I suppose even if he did not qualify through placing in the EIWA's he would likely be eligible as a wild card?

No question, he would get the card.   returning 4th place...he's in as long as he steps on the mat at EIWAs.
