....the pre-Olympics chatter has begun.

Good work by Dake. That was fun. I’ll wait for you at the Olympics, if you make it. 74KG. We will see you there. I’ll be there for sure.

With 8 seconds on the clock Chamizo hits a single and comes within a fraction of inch of a take down and the victory, but Dake fended him off to let clock end it.

LOL...Dake had a chest lock and was closer to scoring than Chamizo.  They wrestle 10 times Dake wins them all.
We are the storm.

At 79 its 6-4 Dake at 74 its 5-5 or 4-6 favoring Chamizo.

So both Dake and Burroughs have beaten Chamizo, but Burroughs did it at Chamizo's weight.  So who wins between JB and KD?  Does anyone know what they weighed in at?

The UWW World Championships are now scheduled for December.

Are we going with the same line up as in May? If so...  Who goes st 57 since Fix got busted? Is Downey still on the team at 86?

If not....

Will Dake go at 74 or 79?

Does Cox go at  92 or 97?

Fix got busted?  For what?

Drugs, didn't pay childcare, covid with no alibi, stole university money, protested against the protesters?

A curious statement indeed.  Care to expand on that one since nothing seems to be in the news.

Boy that's a dated story.  I knew of the Valencia problem but never heard about Fix and it looks like the news on both popped around the same time.

There's some unofficial chit chat out there, but nothing from anyone with authority.  Fix was not enrolled at OSU due to the Olympic waiver so officially, Coach Smith has no obligation to say anything in either direction, unlike the Valencia situation - enrolled and facing a 3rd strike auto expulsion from the team.  It was deemed a suspension since he requested his B sample be tested.

Fix wasscheduled to wrestle in the Pan Am ranking tournament but was replaced.  Curious circumstance but nothing official was reported.

I read some skuttlebutt from a google search on Fix peds.

Fix it was aderall.   Valencia it was cocaine.  Not authoritative.  Word I read was that Fix is out next year but can compete at the NCAA's in 2022.

Is it possible their samples were tampered with.  I just can't believe anyone would be so dumb.  They would have to go around their coaches to do this.  Crazy.

Valencia - highly believable since he was a two timer up till then.

Fix - if it was Adderall, he's downright stupid to think he could pass a drug test, but maybe he's been passing the OSU drug tests.

When was the last time Fix wrestled internationally before Canada?
