Why do we slave ourselves for a mere pittance of TV coverage and amputatiion of 40% of our competition? The Olympics are not what it used to be. At all. As Bob H. pointes out, the coverage is mostly fluf and spends way too much time on only a handful of sports.

This is true, which is why I feel blessed to have CBC on my cable.   They do similar but show events mostly live and uninterrupted.  And not just the US athletes.
