Cassioppi U23 World Champion

That guy either suddenly got into incredible shape, went through puberty or is on some performance enhancing drugs. Looks completely different than he did.

Yah. I'm sure IA wrestling practices are pretty slack since 7-minute folkstyle matches don't require much endurance. He started working out during the summer.  ::)

I suspect steroids. Possibly all due to diet if he was eating a bunch of crap the past 3 years but I'd bet that wasn't the case.

Typical RV.  Make accusations and declare one guilty without any evidence.

Word is that he just lost weight and worked out.  Didn't put on a lot of muscle, just got leaner.  Go have him locked up in prison.  You know he is guilty.   ::)

I said I suspect it (probably is). I said that it's possible that he was eating a bunch of garbage the past 3 years but few collegiate wrestlers are doing that so that's my personal opinion.

Plenty of steroids and other PEDs that decrease body fat without necessarily adding muscle.

Do they test for PEDs in college wrestling now, or at U23 world championships?

If not, there are plenty of wrestlers doing this.

Yes, yes they do.

That's an assumption shot from the hip.  It's year round testing.  Because it is medical testing, you'll never know who turns a positive.  You can guess when certain high profile players suddenly leave the program after their 3rd strike.

If there's regular testing then there is a much better chance that he was clean. Wrestlers can still get away with it (like other athletes do) but I'm glad they have testing and if they conducted testing at the U23 World Championships then I don't necessarily think that Cassiopi was on roids.

Well, that's quite the feat to be U23 World Champion.  We'll see how well he does in NCAA's and how well that translates.  With Oly Gold against him, might be tough!!

Fat man rolls even work at the D1 level, every now and then.
Imagine the good that could be done, if people were less worried about their differences, and more worried about doing good for everyone.
