NCAA Amends It's Transgender Guidance
« on: January 20, 2022, 07:34:06 AM »

Well, not really, they're just passing pointing fingers elsewhere.

I've never seen the NCAA respond as quickly as it has on its transgender guidance.  Transgender inclusion in a sport will no longer be an automatic process.  Responding to the U Penn male swimmer that transitioned to female and was wiping out the women's competition, the NCAA will now follow the rules of either the US sport admin or international guideline for inclusion of opposite sex athletes.

Beginning with the 2022 winter championships, transgender athletes wishing to compete will need to document their testosterone levels, in compliance with their specific sport, four weeks before the sport's selection of championship participants. If a national governing body does not have a policy, then the international federation's policy will be used. If the international federation does not have a policy, then the previously established International Olympic Committee policy will be used.

USA Swimming follows the IOC policy for qualification on the junior or senior national teams.  IOC rule is focused on testosterone level testing. This comment from UISA Swimming is interesting: is “constantly monitoring developments” across all sports in this policy area in order to “to best prepare the organization for its first elite transgender athlete, specifically trans female.”

Well, that day has arrived.

Create a transgender league.  End of story.

Probably not.  Some advocacy group would claim a Title IX violation, then lawyers and the federal government would jump in and make a complete mess of things.

Well, there are men, there are women, and then there are those that consider themselves men that are not, and those that consider themselves women that are not.  Provide a league for those in the latter category.

I agree, this won't happen, but it is not fair to women to have chromosomal males competing against them.  Period.

There wouldn't be enough athletes to compete.

That's their problem.   You don't see females transgendering into males competing, they can't.   You only see men transgendering into females wanting to compete.   They are bigger and stronger no matter the hormones.  Women have a difficult time competing in this situation.   Just because you want to be a woman does not make you a woman.  Just because you take estrogen does not make you a woman.  This needs to stop.  If no league for themselves, then they don't compete, part of the decision they make.

So the word finally comes out after the NCAA swim championships are over.

The NCAA amended its guidance on trans men swimming in women's meets directing participation to follow USA Swimming guidelines.  USA Swimming amended its guidelines setting a specific testosterone level that cannot be exceeded for 3 years before being allowed to compete.

Prior to the NCAA meet meet the male swimmer was tested for testosterone.  He tested more than 2x greater than the USA Swimming allowance.  The NCAA allowed him to compete anyway.

This pic makes several statements on the issue.

It was an arbitrary decision made by the NCAA to allow him to compete anyway after he did not meet the criteria of the published NCAA guideline.  There would be a solid case of being harmed by the NCAA frivolous decision to be made if one of the swimmers such as the one finishing second in the 500 or any of those with the 9th fastest qualifying time that were prevented from swimming a final and achieving AA status.  None of these schools would back the student as most instructed the swimmer to be silent and not criticize the NCAA decision.  A senior that would not be subject to university pressure would in the best position to sue to have the final result overturned and require the NCAA to disqualify him.

The easy solution - when the athlete has finished transitioning, they can compete as female.  Until then, they compete is a male.    Female to male trans must meet the lower testosterone levels if they want to compete as a female.

That guy is a giant compared to the women in that picture.

Let's recap:

1.  He still retains his manhood.
2.  He still is attracted to women.
3.  He has twice the allowed testosterone as the women.
4.  He has the physique of a man.

Yep, he's a woman.

Reminds me of the Shania Twain song:  Man!  I feel like a woman!

Of course, in Shania's case, she is one.

I won't go for that either.  The physical advantage never completely parts.  Caitlin Jenner even agrees.

Have you ever watched the show Bones?   That lady could tell just by the skull if it was a man or a woman and if they were white or black.  Yes, that is physiological things that do not change.
