That dude was seriously impressive!!! Very nice use of explosive wrestling technique in his fighting. Anyone else catch that fight? Just more proof that wrestlers are the toughest people on the planet.

My girlfriend and I went to a dinner party the other night and we ended up playing charades. There was another couple there that was deaf. They were so good.

Great use of wrestling in MMA

2 on 1 tie to a double attempt
nice hip toss
nice footsweep
2 on 1 to arm spin attempt
belly to back suplay
single leg to spinning elbow
inside trip
ALL IN THE FIRST ROUND!

A lot of familiar wrestling technique in an MMA match

He either needs to seriously work on his gas tank, or pace himself a LOT better. Bonnar didnt know what hit him

He did look a bit tired, but I think he knew the fight was won at that point so played it safe.  He still tossed Bonnar with double overs in the third.  He supposedly has only been training other styles for a little over a year, if true he has a ton of potential.  The kid looked like he was well versed in Weng Chun or something.  He threw a ton of Weng Chun kicks.

The gas tank issue may have had as much to do with an adrenaline dump as it did anything else.  Can't help but think it was more the atmosphere, etc., than his conditioning.

He really has only been training a short time.  He's practically my son's age for god sake and was wrestling in JUCO between high school and now.  Even though he has 7 or 8 fights now, his first fight was only in April 2008 - and he fought 3 times that month!
