You know what would be a great addition for this site and could prove to be a state of the art concept for our sport? A college wrestling or even TOM Iphone app. I was just looking at my new espn app and wrestling wasn't an option as a sport to get scores from, yet cricket was. WTF!!!!
I wish I was computer savvy enough to do this because I bet it would make a killing. Ray, you're a computer nerd, can you make this happen?

Viratas mentioned something along this line a long time ago, but I never quite got the point... not using any computing devices smaller than a laptop. Would this be a news feed... like an RSS reader? I would think that would be fairly easy. Actually having an iPhone might help, though.

Well for instance, the apps would be available thru an app store, just like the iPhone one. It could be downloaded and then would be able to open with a touch of a button. Verizon and sprint also do this. Even tmobile I believe.
The way the espn one works is pretty simple. I choose the sport and it shows me updated scores as well as streams article clips on the bottom. The wrestling one wouldn't to be super fancy to begin with and you could release updates when available. Ultimately it would be nice to click on each score and get the individual results also.
From what I've read about some of the app creators, basic programming skills are needed.
Might consider looking at someones phone that has apps just to see exactly what I mean. I'd be willing to pay .99 cents for it, the common price for most apps. The first person who creates this would make some serious dough IMO.

I have the ESPN scoreboard on my iPod Touch. I freaking loved it. Especially for fantasy football. You can pick any team and click on their games and they will send you scores. On Sunday's when I wasn't watching the games my iPod would alert me instantly every time points were scored during the games I selected. Brilliant! That would be amazing for Big Tens and Nationals. Get on it Ray/Viratas!

LOL. I got it on my Iphone too. Its pretty cool and handy. It has pretty much every sport but wrestling on it.

Just got a message on facebook about the new IGrappler app for the 2010 season. However, the 2010 season is now over. So, one can assume the 2011 version will be good then.
