Great to see to active heavies that late in the match. Good job!

You can't go wrong with that plan, Gage. Get a few credits under your belt while you figure things out.

Okie, My guess is that most of the donors don't care as much what's good for wrestling in general. They want a winner. I'm not being critical of Iowa fans - I think fans are like that in general.

I miss Herb. I never met him but I talked to him on the phone on several occasions.

I guess I'd go with ZR. I think there should be an award for someone like Cox, though. He's been dominant, but in a different way. Regarding Snyder, I don't think he will be pinning a lot of heavy weights, but he dominates non the less.

And Nickal.

That series is 1-1 this year so all else being equal, Martin would get the higher seed.  However, all else isn't equal.  Nickal has one loss and plenty of good wins including Brooks, Boyd, Dudley twice and, of course, the first Martin match.  You can't go straight head-to-head when Brooks, Martin, and Nickal are in an A beat B beat C beat A scenario.  Zero reason Martin should be seeded above Nickal.
Not "zero" reason. A win in the big ten finals has to carry some weight.

It seems that people are starting solve Bo Nickal. Even so, he is still extremely talented and will place high in Nationals. I was at the Big 10 this year. After his match Bo Nickal walked around the coliseum a few times, seemingly in deep thought. My guess is that he will be ready.

tOSU did what they do in March. Don't count them out in 10 days. The pressure is clearly on Penn State.

I don't, but I have his 1:53 fall in the finals on the hard drive of my X1 box. I could watch it a few more times if you want me to.
Just queue it up to 1:37 and then push "play". There you have your :16 pin.

College / Re: 10 undefeated national champs?
« on: February 19, 2017, 02:24:17 PM »
When's the last time all 10 national champs finished undefeated?  I'm not saying it'll happen this year, but it is as likely as any other scenario.

285: Snyder is a lock.
197: Cox is a lock.
184: If Dean isn't a lock, then only Nickal will beat him, and either guy could finish undefeated.
174: With BoJo's lingering injury, I don't see him finishing undefeated, but who can stop Zahid?  Mark Hall might upset the 10 undefeated champ scenario.
165: IMar a lock
157: Nolf a lock
149: Sorensen is the only one who could potentially spoil a Retherford perfect season, and that most likely isn't going to happen.
141: Will anybody stop Heil from becoming the worst 3x national champion of all time?
133: Clark would have ran the table here, but with his injury I don't see anyone taking out Tomasello.
125:  Gilman was one of the surest things at the beginning of the year, but everyone will be out to Lizak him come tourney time.

Any oddsmakers out there?
So Clark would have run the table? Really? Have you watched Tomasello at all this year? I'm not saying Tomasello would have have been a lock against a healthy Clark, but I would like his chances.

Yes, he would have.  Clark is that much better than the rest of the field, including Tomasello.  I've seen Tomasello as much as anyone else.
See, here's the thing. NO ONE is assured of running the table, even Snyder. Therefore you can't definitively say Clark would have. That's just silly.

International / Re: Burroughs & Taylor after World Cup
« on: February 19, 2017, 12:29:50 PM »

So I have to wonder. Can Taylor beat out Cox or should he drop down again since Burroughs is mortal again. But then Dake has dropped as well. Its tough. Now that Taylor has the e mojo,  I could see him besting Burroughs. But as usual,  not sure he beats Dake. So many tough decisions.

Taylor vs Jordan & Dake

Taylor vs Cox.  Shorter road.

He's already proven he's a the top internationally at the weight and I think he's a lot stronger at the weight.
He looked like a larger and more powerful version of himself. In fact he doesn't look like a small 189 pounder, he looks big for the weight. I agree that he seems to have found a weight at which he can be successful.
