« on: July 03, 2009, 07:20:43 PM »
why do we meniton athousand times that wrestler a is bumping up a weight to wrestle wrestler b in an exhibition or in tourneys? if he wins it normally gets forgotten. If he lost it is immediately stated that he is bumping up.

a cool variation, trick, is mis direction.
once your in position(head in back of the neck, butterfly lock, legs extended)
-place one foot in line w/spine
-raise other foot as high as you can while building your body into a pyramid(creates more pressure forward)
-lean raised foot to the opposite side until its close to touching the mat(i call it loading the slingshot)
-rotate raised foot back over and into lower rib cage on opposite side as fast as you can
-cinch up the lock and hug opponents hips w/knees...

this is great for holding on for the extra exposure point and when your opponent fights to belly down you can take him the other way or sink in a leg and go for a turk or deer pose(stiener tilt)

or a mens and womens team. Yakima Valley CC has both and are from washington.

Womens wrestling is growing every year in washington. They went from a showcase round robbin at state three years ago, it ran for two or three years, to a true state champion format. Washington is sending 20 plus girls to nationals this year including a national champion.
